Date Night
Date night with my dear husband. First to Little Italy, one of our favorite place to go for wine tasting. Then off to Outback for a steak dinner.
Vandal Friday
Our nephew Tanner is going to University of Idaho this fall. There's an event this weekend for incoming students, and needed a ride so I offered to take him to Moscow, Idaho today. It was a pleasant drive and I got to spend a little time with him.
Trader Joe's
On the way home from Seattle, we always try make a stop at Trader Joe's since we don't have one in Spokane. We bought several bottles of port from Portugal, French, Spanish, Italian and Chilean wines. Total count for today: 31 bottles and a couple hundred dollars poorer in the bank.
Calling Card
I found this tucked inside one of my Kay Arthur books. It made me miss Houston and a very special friend that helped me through one of the toughest times in my life. I will always remember and cherish the times that we were down on our knees, cried our hearts out to the Lord and prayed together. Thank you Miss Fonda!
My Bible
I've been cleaning and going through some of my boxes, and editing a lot of our books. Tucked away in one of the boxes was my very first bible. It was given to me by Rev. & Mrs. Earl Saunders on July 28, 1982. It was the day I accepted Jesus, as my Lord and Saviour.
Spring trying to Sprung
I planted these spring bulbs last fall. The flower bed is right by the steps that leads to the front door. I can't wait to see the flowers.
Ties and Scarves
An attempt to organized our closet! This is DH collection of ties... from Rush Limbaugh, Jerry Garcia, Michael Kors and everything in between. The tie rack on the left is reserve for his holidays/seasonal ties. The big rack is an automatic (it moves around) lighted rack and holds 72 ties. I don't have as many scarves but I do have a nice collection.
Mineral Ridge Loop Trail
We went hiking this afternoon in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. DD (darling daughter) had suggested we check out Mineral Ridge Loop trail and I'm glad we did. Beautiful view of Coeur d'Alene lake from the top of the ridge. DD has a more interesting story on her blog post if you care to read it.
Day at the Doggie Spa
Brutus at Petsmart with his favorite groomer, Michelle. While he was getting groomed, I decided to window shop at my favorite stores.
Zumba Time
I do Zumba Fitness on Tuesdays and Thursdays at HUB Sports Center in Liberty Lake and this is the wall I see as I walk up the second floor to the Zumba studio. Let's Zumba!
Red Robin
There's a dual meaning in the title of my post today. First, I had dinner with DH (dear husband), DD (darling daughter) and "The Manfriend" at Red Robin. It's one of our favorites gourmet burger place. It was a very enjoyable and pleasant evening.
Second, I was inspired by my friend Robin from Houston, TX to continue on this project. Thanks, Robin!
Wine tasting at Latah Creek Winery. We got a bottle each of Semillon, Sangiovese, Vinosity (unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah & Zinfandel) and their first Winemaker's Reserve Red - Petit Verdot. I wish I can afford to buy a case of their Petit Verdot, but it's $30.00 a bottle!
Self-portrait. Okay, taking pictures of yourself is not as easily done. I see so many young people taking photos of themselves and they make it look easy. They must take hundreds, maybe thousands of picture of themselves to get good at it!
I think it's fitting to start this project with photos of my cameras. So, here goes...
The one I use the most is the Canon PowerShot SD790 IS. It's small and compact, I carry it all the time in my handbag. It takes great pictures and it's 10.0 mega pixel.
